Barbara Solomon Brown graduated from the University of Maryland College Park in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. In 1977 she graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law, and went into private practice with her father at Alvin Solomon, P.A., upon her admission to the Maryland Bar. At Alvin Solomon, P.A., Barbara practiced under the tutelage of her father, Alvin Solomon, who was a prominent, well-known and trusted Maryland attorney.
Over the last thirty-eight years Barbara has acquired a keen instinct and eye for the law. Barbara has extensive experience in both civil and criminal cases and is frequently solicited by other attorneys for her expertise and advice. Barbara is a highly sought after presenter, having tried cases throughout the entire State of Maryland, in both Federal and State Courts.
In her practice, Barbara represents clients in all facets of family law cases; she appreciates the distinction between the art of negotiation and the power of litigation and, most importantly, possesses the wisdom to know when each is most appropriate.
Barbara has represented clients in every level of the socio-economic scale and is a zealous advocate for each and every one of her clients. Barbara has volunteered with Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, Tails of Hope Animal Rescue, Sarah's Hope Shelter and the Salvation Army, as well as performed volunteer work internationally.
